Here you will find information on my music, samples of what I can do, and info on commissions.
I know the files here are lossy and incomplete… That was my intent, for several reasons:
1. I wanted to save space because this is only a 30mb web account.
2. I only want to spur interest in what I can do, I didn’t want the full versions being pirated.
3. Most connections can stream 64kbps without difficulty.
Unless otherwise noted, full, high-bitrate versions of all files are available for use with permission (I may ask for a nominal fee depending on how you use it). For more information
contact me stating which piece you want and what you want to do with it. I usually respond to e-mails pretty quickly.
Classical and Orchestral:
Prelude in A Minor (MP3, 419kb)This was written in Spring 2005. I was deeply in love with someone at the time and dealing with the fact that the love would never be returned. This was going to be part of an entire suite, but I decided to just let it be as a stand-alone.
Adagio from Suite No. 1 (MP3, 566kb)Part of an ongoing project, a sort of musical lament begun following the 2005 attacks in the London Underground. This is only the first movement.
Electronic and Experimental:
Epiphyte Shell Shock (MP3, 566kb)This was sort of my attempt to write something in a style similar to
Locust Toybox. The title is meaningless.
Ahoj, Lí š ka.
My first album, more or less a compilation of tracks, my personal release under the name Fox Allen. The title means “Hello, fox.” You can order it for $11 US (plus $5 shipping within U.S. or $10 shipping to Europe) by e-mailing me (see the
contact page) Vulpes Vulpes (MP3, 566kb)What would a fox fur’s music page be without at least one song about foxes? This was made shortly after getting my paws on a copy of Fruity Loops. I was VERY excited when I found a number of analog synth emulators in the software. It’s done in the style of 70’s-80’s experimental electronic, going back to the roots of Electronica.
Have You Ever Heard? (MP3, 659kb)A more classic rock style, proof that Ahoj, Lí š ka will not be limited to electronica. Inspired by real events. Produced with stock Acid MusicStudio loops, but it sounds awfully good for being mostly “out of the box.”
Silicon Dreams (MP3, 675kb)Yet another piece in the classic, 70s-80s electronic style that I seem to do reasonably well. The intro was inspired by (but not sampled from) “Halo” by Depeche Mode. Another piece composed in Fruity Loops.
Plaisir D’Amour (MP3, 644kb)A well-known French melody, popular since the 18th century, worked as a 21st century Euro-style dance mix. Fruity Loops saves the day yet again in this, one of my best creations to date.
Tracks Not Available for Download:
Luna’s Lullaby
- A short orchestral piece written for “Wolf, the Animated Feature.” Arranged and performed by Andrew Stein. This piece might be featured in the film. You Won’t Speak Anymore- A cover of a song by my close friend and mate. Not one of my better early attempts.
The Fool- A very simple piece in the style of an 18th century popular song. One of my less impressive pieces.
Feed my Space Cow- A piece I created from loops to make fun of the Trance genre.
